Guest Artist-Club Scrap Greeting to Go Delft kit

Hello my crafty friends! When Club Scrap asked me to be their guest artist for the March Greeting to Go kit-Deflt, I was soo excited! The Greeting to Go kit has all the materials you need to make 12 greeting cards.  You can find the basic instructions for the cards on the Club Scrap Blog. My job as guest artist was to go "beyond the kit" and create 12 cards in my own way. This was so much fun! I LOVE to do altered projects like this! I got all 12 cards done in 1 day!
So the kit is set up in 3 sets-4 of each style. All the styles are different sizes and shapes-some are even a fun fold! The kit comes with all the card bases and a bunch of cut a parts with images and sentiments. So all you have to do is cut and assemble to make 12 quick cards-BUT you can do so much more! Let me show you what I came up with!

Set A.The plans for this set were all just folded in half in the traditional way.

I did 2 in this manner-1 folded landscape and 1 portrait.

I used the cracked porcelain stencil from theDelft kit on the portrait card and rubbed on some yellow gelatos. Then I daubed the edges with stamp ink.

On the landscape card I used the crackle stamp from the unmounted rubber stamps and used yellow ink with clear embossing powder. I rubbed on some blue Distress Crayon to color the background.

For the next 2 I gate folded the base and attached stamped and cut apart panels to the front.

I used a corner punch from my stash on the large panel and stamped with the images from the kit. I colored in the cut a part images with Sharpie Markers.

Set B. The instructions for this set was to use one of the metal embellishments on each card. I changed that up a bit too.

I changed the position of the embellishment and put a colored matte behind it. I colored in the stamped image with Sharpie Markers. I used the corner punch from my stash again too.

This card I did pretty much like Tricia's instructions except for the stamped images.

I used 2 embellishments and matted with printed paper from the cut a parts that came with the Greeting To Go Kit.

Since I used 2 embellishments on the last card I used some twine that came with the G2G kit to close this card. I also folded it on the opposite side.

Set C are all 5"x7" cards. The original instructions called for a gate fold that overlapped an inch.

I stamped in 2 different colors for the background panel of this card, then used some cut a parts from the kit.

For this card I added the flags and put the slit on the other side fro the basic instructions.

For the background panels I used alcohol ink on Yupo Paper. Then I stamped an image from the unmounted rubber stamps with India Ink.

For this card I gate folded with a 1/2" flap on each front flap to attach 2 panels. When folded the larger panel covers the smaller panel. The larger panel has the large tile image stamped and then daubed around the outside edge with blue Distress Crayon. It's hard to tell in the photo but I stamped images on the front panel above and below the tile panel. I embossed with clear embossing powder.

For this card I gate folded with 1" flaps on the front. This left a 1" gap in the front that shows off the yellow panel inside the card. Then I adhered the panels on different sides of the front flaps-like flags.
If you like to make cards the Greetings to Go kit just might be for you...and I hope my "beyond the kit" ideas have inspired you!

Have a great day!
Pam
