A Night at the Met cards

Hi there! I hope every one had a wonderful Christmas! We got dumped on with snow over the last couple of days! I had the day off and it was a good day to be snowed in and play with my Club Scrap A Night at the Met club stamp kit. I made a few cards to add to the Club Scrap blog hop and linky party.

I made a half circle pop up card. I found a good tutorial on Pinterest. The back panel is a Stampin Up! stamp called Sheet Music. All other papers and images are from A Night at the Met.

I stamped the ballerina in black ink and then applied embossing powders in 3 different colors where I had drawn with a clear embossing pen. I fussy cut the ballerina and glued her to a piece of acetate I had adhered in the cut out circle.

I embossed the silver cardstock with an embossing folder. I fussy cut the ballerina unmounted rubber stamp image and added foam dots to give it a bit of dimension. I used turquoise embossing powder on the stamped sentiment.

The background of this card is a part of the quad print with the club stamp kit. It's hard to tell in the photo but the piano image is stamped in an eggplant color and the sentiment is black embossing powder.

Have a great day,

Club Scrap A Night at the Met cards

Hello my friends! Just a couple days before Christmas and I actually had some time to relax and do some crafting today! Even though the Club Scrap Artist Team has ended I'm still a member and look forward to my kit delivery every month! I just got my Club Stamp A Night at the Met kit yesterday and couldn't wait to make some cards.
I checked out the Club Scrap Forum and decided on a couple of challenges to join. The 1st one I made cards for is the Technique challenge-Repeat Stamping.

The background is a Stampin Up stamp I inked in Elegant Eggplant which matches A Night at the Met perfectly. I repeated the unmounted rubber stamped image without re-inking to give it that ombre look. I used black embossing powder on the unmounted rubber stamp sentiment and heated with a heat gun. I used the ribbon and the charms from the A Night the Met Club Stamp kit.

I stamped the sheet music image onto the printed paper with the collection and then repeat stamped the unmounted rubber stamped image. I just LOVE the font with this collection!

I repeat stamped 2 images on this card! This card also works for the Idea Deck Challenge on the Club Scrap Forum.

I made 2 cards for the Card Sketch challenge on the Club Scrap Forum.

I used the silver paper with this collection for the 2 stripes-it's hard to photograph since it's so shiny.

I embossed the large treble image with silver embossing powder. The background for this card is one of the quad prints with the Club Stamp kit. The sunburst embellishments are from the Sunflowers kit.

Head on over to the Club Scrap Forum to see all the wonderful challenges and inspiration from other members!

Merry Christmas!

Have a great day!

An APeeling Advent Calendar

Hi Crafty friends! I hope everyone is enjoying the winter weather. Here is upstate NY it's been cold and snowy. I'm thinkin we're in for a white Christmas!
I've been wanting to make advent calendar and finally found a design I like. I made a book style with 12 boxes on each side of the book.

The front sentiment is from the Club Scrap Watercolor Christmas unmounted rubber stamps. I embossed the image with black and gold embossing powder.

The covers are 7"x 9" chipboard with a 2 1/2" wide spine. I covered the chipboard with card stock in the way you would to make a book.
To make the boxes I cut 24 pieces of card stock to 4" x 7".

Score on the long side 1", 3" 4" and 6"
Score on the short side 1" and 3"
Snip and fold as shown above. I used a 1" circle punch on the left edge for easy opening of the boxes. All folded up the boxes measure 2" x 2" x 1". Perfect for candy or little gifties!

I decorated the fronts of the boxes with various papers and layers of punched shapes. I stamped the numbers in different ink colors.

I scrambled up the order of the numbers so it's more fun to find the boxes for each day.

I used Club Scrap Bookbinding glue in a needle tipped applicator to attach the boxes to the covers.

The boxes open up from different sides too-just to make it more fun!

I decorated the inside spine with patterned card stock and some wooden snowflakes from my stash.
I'll think I'll be making a bunch of these-they'll make perfect gifts!

Have a great day!
