Club Scrap Succulents Artist Team Challenge-Number and Letters Stencils.

Hello my friends! Welcome to the Club Scrap Succulents Artist Team Challenge. You should have just come from Roni's blog if you're following along on the hop.
This month Club Scrap tasked us with using number and letter stencils on our projects. There are upper and lower case alphabet and number stencils. With the Succulents Deluxe Kit there is a Jacob's Ladder mini album kit. I thought this was the cutest thing so decided to make one for the Artist Team Challenge. Of course I had to alter it a bit to make it my own! :)

I followed the basic instructions for assembling the project. Tricia has a great video tutorial on the Club Scrap website and YouTube.

I made mine into a recipe book. I added pull tab recipe cards on each panel. The recipe cards slide into a pocket on each side of the panels.

There are 12 recipe cards-1 on each side of each panel.

In the original instructions you cut 6 each of burgundy and green panels to matte onto the chipboard panels. I cut notches with a  1/2" circle punch on each of the 12 pieces and used these as pockets for the recipe cards.

I used 1/8" Skor tape on 3 sides. I used the narrow tape so I could make the recipe cards as wide as possible.

I cut 12 pieces of white cardstock 2 7/8" x 6 1/2". Then I stamped each piece with the unmounted rubber large succulent images from the kit with green and burgundy ink. Then I stenciled on the words - some with the green ink, some with burgundy. They fold up and slide into the pockets on each panel.

I folded them in half. At the fold line I stapled a small piece of ribbon so I could pull the card out of the pocket.

On the back side of the card I drew lines for the recipe. I love how this little book moves when you hold it up-its like magic! So fun!

Now travel on to Hetty's blog to see what she's done with the stencils!
Have a great day!

Club Scrap Succulents Blog Hop and Linky Party

Hi friends! It's Club Scrap Blog Hop time again! If you've come from Hetty's Blog then you're following right along! This month's kit is called Succulents.  It features images of succulent plants with gorgeous greens, pink  and burgundy colors.

I made a set of cards in a flower pot!

I used the instructions for a card purse and altered it to make a flower pot.
I cut the base 12" x 4 1/2" so it would be taller. I didn't add the bottom strip or the little handles. For the top of the pot that overlaps I cut the card stock 12" x 2".  I scored it at 1/2" and 1 1/2". I folded the bottom  under before adhering the top to the inside and folding it over the top to form the rim.

My first card is an Inside Gate card.  I stamped images from the unmounted stamps you can get with the kit.

I made the little flower pots with this adorable little die cut I found on amazon! So cute!

I altered the card a bit and added this panel inside for the sentiment.

I used the patterned paper from the kit and folded the printed side to the inside.

The background for this card is a piece of printed paper from the kit. The button and ribbon are from the embellishment pack from the kit.

I fussy cut all the stamped images of the little succulents. Time consuming but so worth it! Love them :)

This is a gate fold card. I stamped the succulent image with a basic green and then enhanced it with a water brush and more ink. Then I used the metallic silver pen from the "Color Me Happy" kit to enhance the image even more. The flower is mounted on one side and the sentiment is on the other.

I did the same thing with this card of folding the patterned paper so the design is on the inside. It's hard to tell from the photo but the paper has metallic silver coloring to it.

I cut out one of the flower images from a 12" x 12"  printed paper from the kit.

The ribbon on this card is from the embellishment pack from this kit.
Your next stop on the hop is Tricia's Blog! And make sure to link up a project of your own to the linky party!

Have a great day!

Club Scrap Technique Challenge-Fancy Fold Cards

Hi Friends! I LOVE fancy fold cards! I'm so happy that Artist Team member Cheryl picked this as the Club Scrap technique challenge this month. So fun! The Club Scrap February kit is called Succulents and it's full of beautiful colors and images of succulent plants!.

The first card I made is a Gate Fold card. Yiu start with a standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" base but score it on the long side at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8". It folds and the ends meet in the middle. I used a panel from the embellishments cut a part page that came with the deluxe kit on the front. The embossing folder is actually a pointsetta design from Stampin up but I thought it could pass as a succulent!

Then I made a Triple Panel Standing card. The base is a standard 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored on the long side at 2", 3 1/8",5 3/8" and 6 1/2". The front panel measures 3" x 3/12". I stamped around the edge with images from the unmounted rubber stamps from the kit.

On the front of this next card I used a panel from the embellishments cut a part page and a bunch of the different fibers from the kit.

This one is my favorite-it's a pop up card! The background page is stamped with different images from the unmounted rubber stamps in Stampin Up's Crumb Cake ink. All the little pots and plants are stamped images  from this kit too.
The base of this card is 4 1/4" x 11" folded in half. The inside "V" pop u part measures 1" x 12" and is scored at 3", 6" and 9". The 4 little mattes are 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".
So fun! Make sure to link your fancy fold card to the blog too!

Have a great day!

Challenge card for Freshly Made Sketches 274

Hello! Today I played at Freshly Made Sketches #274 using the Club Scrap Succulents kit!

I used the Black Magic technique to color the Succulents unmounted rubber image from Club Scrap. I love how it came out and it was so easy!

Have a great day!
