Hello again! I'm so glad you stopped in while hopping along with the Club Scrap Pattern Play Blog Hop and Linky Party! You should have just come from Tricia's blog! The Pattern Play collection is so fun! Black, white, shades of gray and a pop of bright green! A perfect early summer kit!
I made a 6" x 6" foldy mini album for today's hop.
I made a 6" x 6" foldy mini album for today's hop.
All papers and embellishments are from Pattern Play.
I love this little album-it opens once...
Then the right hand side opens again...
Then each end opens in a gate fold. I decorated each end pretty much the same, just added a different cut apart on the right hand side.
Then the middle section opens-again gate fold but this time with 2 accordion panels on each side.
Then that middle section opens with a gate fold!
And then THAT section opens in a vertical gate fold!!
Here's a view with most of the sections open so you can see the full effect.
I LOVE making these kind of foldy albums that have never ending openings!
Let me share how I made it!
For the base of this album you will need:
2 - 6" x 6" pieces of card stock
5 - 6" x 12" pieces of card stock
They could be all the same color or different. I used 3 different colors for mine.
Score one piece at 2 1/2", 3", 9" and 91/2." It should look like the photo above.
Then score 3 more at 3" and 9"
Attach one of these to the center of the 1st piece.
Attach the 2 - 6" square pieces to the left and right 3" flaps on the bottom layer - as shown in the photo above. Attach them to the outside of the book-so that the 3" piece shows on the inside.

Now attach the remaining 2 - 6" x 12" folded pieces to each inside end-covering the 3" flap.
For the accordion fold outs I cut 2 pieces of patterned card stock 5 3/4" x 11." They are scored at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4." I adhered them to the front side of the middle 3" flaps.
All the green mattes that cover the gate fold openings are cut to 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
The vertical gate fold piece in the very center is cut at 5 3/4" x 11 1/2." It's scored at 2 7/8" and 8 3/8."
